Iran pursues expanded deterrence strategy, calls for new regional security order

TEHRAN – Iran’s military and political leadership has outlined a broader strategy for confronting potential threats, combining expanded military preparedness, a wider operational theater, stronger deterrence capabilities, and diplomatic efforts to establish a regional security framework independent of outside powers.
